Fun with Origami & Critical Thinking

Thanks for stopping by!  I am glad that you are here.  I invite you to follow me on google plus at +Betsy Sproger

Are you homeschooling teens?  Do you ever wonder how to teach  critical thinking skills?  These are such important skills, for going to college, or for any vocation that they might choose.

Teaching Critical Thinking
There are really so many ways to teach these skills, such as by doing literary analysis, discussing current events, historical perspectives, etc. These are all great ways to build up their thinking skills.

But sometimes it’s fun to toss art into the mix!

And did you know that origami can be a wonderful way to practice critical thinking skills!

Today I am over at the Curriculum Choice, writing about how we did just that, using the book “Fun with Paper Folding and Origami” here to read more about this, and my review of this great little book.

And doing origami promotes attention to detail, organizational skills, problem solving, and much more.

Happy Homeschooling,

Betsy blogs at BJ's Homeschool , where she writes about high school, collegeand all the fun of homeschooling the early years, too.  As a veteran homeschooler, Betsy also offers homeschool help to families
