Are you looking for an online course or two for your high schooler for next year?

There are now so many options out there, that it can be overwhelming when you go online and search for these computer based courses yourself.

I have gathered together a number of resources for online courses below.  Some offer group based live courses, others are video based, and still others are web-based online and done independently by your student....

My daughter enjoyed working online for math and science during all of her high school years.

That gave her the independence that she wanted, and the help for me to teach courses, like biology and math, that I was not really prepared to teach myself.

We used Monarch from Alpha Omega Publications ourselves.  Those worked very well for us.  But since then, many new online course options have popped up.

Does your teen also want that feeling of independence that online courses can give them?  Feel free to check out the resources on this list and see if any of them are a fit for your student.  I personall have not used them except for the Monarch courses.

1.--Monarch offers a subscription plan and a free trial as well.

2.--Acellus Academy - Video based lessons plus teachers/staff available if help is needed.

3.--Schoolhouse Teachers - They offer a variety of courses at a $20.00 her family monthly fee

Funda Funda Academy offers lots of choices for online, fun elective courses, as well as many semester long or year long courses in core studies areas, too.

Their motto is that "Learning is FUN!" and they add in motivating activities to each course of study that they offer.

Each year they offer core courses in all of the high school subject areas, well crafted and filled with creative and interesting activities.

That makes them fun!

These are not your typical online homeschool high school courses.  I invite you to check them out.
